Qualifying Rate - $22.75**Essential Functions:**Operations Technicians may be assigned by the Company to perform all aspects of work within the Street/Utility Job Family including, but not limited to:* Completing all phases of core utility work regarding customer service and meter and gas pressure regulator installations.* Conducting leak investigations and responding to emergencies of any nature.* Installing, repairing, and maintaining distribution mains and services.* Operating mechanical equipment.* Other duties as defined by the CBA for the Street/Utility Job Family.**Initial assignments will be as follows: Street****Qualifications****Required Background:*** High School Diploma or GED* All applicants must pass pre-employment hands-on assessment* A valid NJ Driver’s License**Required Skills:*** Must be available for standby responsibilities and emergency work when required.***This is a DOT-covered position and will be subject to random drug screening.******Work location(s) may vary based on language as defined in the CBA.*****Explore the Possibilities**South Jersey Industries employs a diverse range of talent – from construction contractors to environmental specialists.
