A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Associate Attorney to join their legal team in Sacramento, CA. The position involves managing a diverse caseload, including medical malpractice and civil defense litigation, from initial intake through resolution. This full-time hybrid role offers a mix of in-office work and work-from-home flexibility.
Duties
- Manage diverse caseloads, including medical malpractice and civil defense matters.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Advise clients on legal strategy and assess case risks.
- Negotiate settlements and collaborate with partners and staff.
Requirements
- Experience in complex civil litigation and legal advice provision.
- Proficiency in legal research and case law analysis.
- Effective negotiation skills for settlements and mediations.
- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- Several years of litigation experience in relevant practice areas.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active membership in the California Bar.
Skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficient in drafting legal documents and case management.
