Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Proficiency with advanced cardiac monitoring, managing critical drips, and recognizing acute changes in patient status
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Schedule:

• Required shifts may include days, nights, weekends, or holidays depending on facility needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the PCU/Stepdown environment
• Monitor and document patient responses to interventions, medications, and therapies
• Recognize and act quickly on signs of patient deterioration
• Clearly communicate with physicians, patients, and families, offering education and support as needed
• Accurately chart all interventions in electronic medical records
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support best practice initiatives for improved patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
