FULL | Art Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated art teacher to join our team at SCA Enrichment. Our Art Teacher will teach approximately 3 hours of art every Thursday that SCA is in session. Classes will be grouped into K-1, 2-4, and 6-8.* The art teacher will deliver engaging and inspiring age-appropriate instruction, expose students to a variety of artistic medium and prepare each group of students for an art show to display at the end of year showcase. A materials stipend will be provided, and all materials purchased will become property of Southside Classical Academy. *This is the proposed hour commitment and classroom grouping – grouping will be finalized after registration period. Job Duties Entail: • Classroom instruction and management • Provide teaching instruction • Maintain a clean and orderly classroom • Participate in special events throughout the year (e.g., Orientation, Student Showcase) • Respond to parent communications in a timely manner and resolve parental concerns • Learn parent names and greet parents personally as opportunity presents Compensation: $25/hr, 3-4 hrs on Thursdays. Requirements Ideal Candidates: Foremost - · Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and seek to live a Christ-centered life. This includes being a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action toward others. · Must believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the standard by which faith and daily living are to be measured. · Must agree with Southside Classical Academy’s Statement of Faith. Please read diligently before submitting your application. · Must exhibit spiritual sensitivity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities in order to train children in spiritual virtue, biblical character, and academic excellence. · Regularly attend or are a member at local church that is not antithetical to the statement of faith of Southside Classical Academy.
