Facility Information: The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Staff Gastroenterologist. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity for a faculty position within the Gastroenterology Section at Loma Linda University, engaging in the education and training of fellows, medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to work in our advanced VA facility located in Loma Linda, a key medical center in the Western United States, dedicated to enhancing the health of those who have honorably served our country.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage patient care effectively, including emergency situations.
• Provide consultations and maintain accurate medical records.
• Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with the latest gastroenterology standards.
• Perform endoscopic procedures with proficiency.
• Identify and address the specific needs of patients across various age groups.
• Engage in teaching responsibilities, including planning, monitoring, and documenting educational activities for fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects, with the potential to publish findings.
• Conduct inpatient consultations and perform endoscopy procedures.

Work Schedule:

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call duties. There may be options for alternative work schedules, including part-time positions.
