Rootshell Enterprise Technologies Inc. is a recognized provider of professional IT Consulting services in the US. We are actively seeking a Production Engineer for one of our clients.

Location: Bay Area, CA - Hybrid

Job Summary

Drive incident response, post-mortems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve system reliability.

Monitor overnight alerts, system performance, SLIs/SLOs, and proactively identify and triage anomalies.

Automate operational processes, analyze system logs, and build tools to strengthen observability and monitoring.

Partner with software engineers on resilient architecture, coding practices, and pre-deployment reviews.

Design and scale reliable systems using strong architecture and design-pattern principles.

Lead complex incidents and coordinate cross-functional teams through resolution and follow-up.

Build observability frameworks, including SLI/SLO definitions, monitoring gaps, and effective alerting strategies.

Strong Linux kernel knowledge, including scheduler, memory allocation, drivers, kdump, and kernel-panic debugging.

Hands-on programming with Python/Go, plus Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, TCP/IP, and network programming.

Experience with distributed storage; GPU/hardware troubleshooting and OVN/OVS networking are strong pluses.
