Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Wallingford, CT at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. Evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and document care in accordance with physician direction and clinic policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, supervise discipline‑specific services as assigned, and participate in student education and professional development. Maintain professional licensure, comply with state practice acts, and follow organizational safety and performance improvement initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Connecticut state physical therapy license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including evaluation, plan of care development, and functional goal setting. Experience with documentation of goals, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry preferred. Ability to follow clinic policies for safe patient handling and infection control. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supervising students or providing clinical education. Familiarity with performance improvement processes and participation in quality initiatives. Experience working in fast-paced outpatient environments and managing varied caseloads. Assignment Details Shift pattern: 5x8.
