Associate Scientific Director, Translational - Immunology

Associate Scientific Director, Translational Medicine role at a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing immunology programs from research through late clinical development. The position drives translational strategy, leads biomarker efforts, and bridges preclinical research with clinical programs through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Establish translational plans for immunology programs and align biomarker strategies with program goals
• Lead clinical biomarker efforts including vendor selection, method development, validation, and data analysis
• Provide disease biology expertise to clinical study teams and functional areas such as regulatory and clinical development
• Collaborate with opinion leaders, clinicians, and research scientists to ensure appropriate biomarkers are incorporated and validated
• Prepare regulatory documents, abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 8+ years relevant experience
• Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 6+ years experience
• PharmD or PhD with 5+ years relevant experience
• Deep expertise in experimental medicine and biomarker development with emerging thought leader recognition
• Experience in immunoassay development and GxP-based biomarker platform deployment
• Working knowledge of FDA bioanalytical method validation guidance and regulatory aspects
• Extensive experience collaborating with CROs on clinical assay development and sample testing

Compensation: $173,600-$237,000 base salary plus 30% target annual bonus and equity participation
