## Assistant Baseball CoachApplylocations: Akron, Ohiotime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR103057**Job Summary:**Provide assistance to the Head Baseball Coach with the recruiting, daily coaching and teaching, game day responsibilities and administrative duties of the Baseball program.**Essential Functions:**25% Assist with the coaching, evaluation, recruitment and communication process of athletic and academic talented potential Baseball student-athletes.25% Assist in directing the coaching techniques for the day-to-day Baseball practices and activities and administering the development of off the field academic, social, community service and behavioral skills.25% Assist with Baseball game day coaching responsibilities including implementing game plan, scouting reports, base coaching and evaluation.15% Assist with performing various Baseball administrative duties including managing budgets, scheduling, arranging travel, procuring umpires, ordering equipment and fund-raising activities.10% Cultivate positive relationships with Athletics Department, campus, and surrounding community to encourage external involvement and community pride. Other duties as assigned.# # **Additional Position Information:****Education:**Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.**Experience:**Requires a minimum of 1 year of collegiate and/or professional playing experience and/or up to 1 year experience coaching at the collegiate or professional level. An understanding of college recruiting procedures and the technical fundamentals of Baseball required.
