Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and confident in guiding patients through frame and lens selections while ensuring accuracy in prescription eyewear orders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and contributing to a high-end boutique optical environment. Candidates with experience in lens edging and finishing are a plus, but not required. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences Educate patients on lens technology including progressives, coatings, specialty lenses, and premium options Take precise optical measurements (PD, OC height, segment height, etc.) Process eyewear orders and verify prescription accuracy Dispense, adjust, and repair frames Coordinate with optical labs and vendors Maintain an organized and visually appealing optical display Provide an exceptional patient experience from frame selection to final dispensing Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as an Optician or Optical Sales Associate Strong knowledge of lens designs, materials, and frame fitting Experience with lens edging or finishing is a plus but not required Excellent communication and patient service skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with EMR or optical management software ABO certification is a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation Supportive and collaborative team environment Beautiful coastal office setting Exposure to luxury eyewear collections Opportunities for professional growth and development Benefits Competitive salary Health insurance Paid time off Location Eyes of the Marina Marina del Rey, CA #J-18808-Ljbffr Eyes of the Marina Optometry
