Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (4 North CCU) | Day Shift | 7A–7P

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Projected Start: December 14, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Read and interpret EKG rhythms and telemetry strips continuously throughout the shift
• Administer and titrate IV medications including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, Foley insertions, and temporary pacemaker management
• Provide post-cardiac procedural care for patients following ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post-Op Day 1 open heart surgery, and permanent pacemaker placements
• Align with patient experience standards by delivering courteous, respectful, and responsive care including bedside shift report and patient education

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, or ICU
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must be available to work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• Must be willing to float to other areas where competency has been demonstrated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, temporary pacemakers, wound vacs, and telemetry monitoring equipment
• Experience using mobile communication platforms in a clinical team environment
• Background in high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac care settings
