Instructor, Electronic Engineering Technology (EET)

Compensation Type: Salaried Compensation: $51,460.00 Full‑time faculty members are professional educators whose primary responsibility is to fulfill the College’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan, while providing a quality education for all students. This position is focused on software development instruction within the Department of Engineering Technology and may include instruction in Electrical, Electro‑Mechanical, Engineering, and Mechanical Technologies. Essential Job Functions Instruction & Student Learning Teaches assigned courses and oversees curriculum as per department policies, ensuring program rigor and instructional quality. Designs and supports a range of learning activities that address individual student differences. Utilizes appropriate technology and clearly communicates expectations regarding its use. Keeps accurate records, submits grades timely, and maintains syllabi that incorporate all required requirements. Selects appropriate course materials and conducts classes punctually. Develops assessment techniques to measure students’ performance and facilitates learning in virtual environments. Student Engagement & Advisement Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning. Maintains posted office hours and uses technology for communication with students. Refers students to appropriate support services. Continuous Improvement Assists in maintenance and improvement of instructional materials and laboratory facilities. Provides guidance in developing course descriptions, outlines, and syllabi, and recommends curriculum modifications. Completes mandatory performance evaluations and participates in required training. Shares best practices and evaluates teaching and assessment practices for continuous improvement. Participates in faculty selection and orientation processes as appropriate. Attends faculty meetings and committee work as called. Professional Development Maintains a portfolio for tenure and promotion review and engages in goal‑setting for professional growth. Contributes to planning, evaluation, and presentation of professional development programs. Maintains required credentials, licensing, and continuing education hours as set by disciplinary standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline and at least three (3) years of industry experience; or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field and at least one (1) year of industry experience. State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work sites.
