Systems Administrator (Linux)

Location: 100% On-Site in Oxnard, supporting a Manufacturing Environment

We're seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain Linux-based systems. You'll monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure reliable day-to-day operations.

• Monitor Linux servers to maintain performance, uptime, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux, software, and basic network issues.
• Support users with system access and functionality questions.
• Perform updates, patching, and configuration changes.
• Manage backups and assist with system recovery.
• Document system changes, troubleshooting steps, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
• Create basic automation scripts using Bash or Python.
• Follow established processes and escalate issues when needed.

• Experience working with Linux systems.
• Comfortable using the Linux command line.
• Familiarity with Ubuntu, SUSE, and/or Red Hat.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or similar certification.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
