Our positions are at music festivals, sporting events, concerts, conventions, and other venues throughout Chicago and the surrounding region. This part‑time or secondary job is event‑based, allowing you to schedule your shifts when you are able. Job Summary Support our stadium, arena, convention center, music festival, and theatre clients in their security needs. As an Off Duty Police Officer you will observe and report activities and incidents, provide security and safety to venue property and personnel, and maintain a professional image that helps create a memorable and safe experience for fans. Responsibilities Arrive on time and report to post in full uniform. Deliver quality service and maintain a positive interaction with customers, visitors, vendors, and employees. Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations. Respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine the course of action, notify appropriate authorities, and assist as needed. Implement post orders that may include wanding, metal detectors, bag search, pat‑downs, or other tasks as required. Remain diligent and vigilant in safety awareness, understanding post orders, revisions, and daily event needs. Follow the chain of command and keep supervisors informed of any incidents or concerns. Perform additional duties as assigned by the client or company. Qualifications Must currently be working as a police officer or corrections officer, or be a retired police officer with arrest powers in Illinois. Strong customer service skills and the ability to facilitate progressive change. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and get along with other employees. Sense of urgency and awareness of safety protocols. Physical Requirements Must see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and customers. Perform pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting of up to 50 lbs. Have normal vision or corrected vision for normal reading and viewing abilities. Be able to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs, and walk as required.
