Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, individualized patient and family-centered care, progressing patients toward self-identified goals using the nursing process
• Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive, age- and culturally appropriate plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Evaluate patient and family progress toward care goals, documenting responses and adjusting interventions as needed
• Identify and address patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory to assess readiness and barriers
• Serve as a patient advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights
• Delegate and coordinate care activities among healthcare team members within their scope of practice, communicating effectively to expedite patient progress and workflow

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working in an RN role
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a specialty nursing area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary care coordination and patient care conferencing
• Experience adapting nursing interventions to meet diverse socio-cultural needs
