Amgen seeks a Senior Oncology Specialist in Columbus, OH to serve as the clinical liaison between the company and medical professionals. The role involves delivering product knowledge, communicating clinical and economic benefits of oncology medicines, and executing territory sales strategies. The position requires developing and implementing comprehensive territory plans while meeting sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary clinical liaison delivering product knowledge to medical professionals
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory sales plan with branded messaging and educational programs
- Manage customer accounts including product access, reimbursement issues, and contract maintenance
- Analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance with District Manager
- Drive territory sales targets while building brand awareness and patient-focused impact
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years sales or clinical healthcare experience
- Associate degree plus 6 years sales or clinical healthcare experience
- High school diploma/GED plus 8 years sales or clinical healthcare experience
- Preferred oncology experience
- Preferred 3+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales/marketing
- Life Sciences or Business Administration degree preferred
- Local market knowledge preferred
