Diesel Mechanic

Overview Job Summary: The Diesel Mechanic will perform PM maintenance and repairs on the company’s fleet of cars, trucks, and trailers. Responsibilities Perform PM maintenance on the company’s fleet of vehicles. Operate diagnostic equipment (Cummins Insite, Cat ET, Allison Transmission). Ensure all safety standards and regulations are followed in the facility. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements 2 to 4 years of experience required. Excellent diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills. Having own basic hand tools; specialty tools are supplied by the company. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Air brake knowledge a plus. Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine repairs, air brakes repairs and trailer repairs. Ability to mount and dismount tires (passenger cars and trucks). Ability to visually diagnose mechanical and non-mechanical issues. Ability to read service and repair manuals. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to use diagnostic equipment (Cummins Insite, Cat Et, Allison Transmission). Must be able to obtain an alcohol permit. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR. Physical Requirements Must be able to physically perform repairs. Up to 50 lbs lifting requirements. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs.
