Operating on our 9/80 schedule means you will get every other Friday off. This position has NO Hybrid or Remote work available. The selected Engineer must possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing, displays data storage, Networks, CDS/MLS, Crypto and experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements. and will be responsible for one or more of the following; Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture, Design and develop computer, network and system models and architectures, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and conduct Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) regarding supplier current and future products offeringsJob Responsibilities:Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specificationsCollaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectivesTechnical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test supportDeveloping supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of workBuilding supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionReview documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of related professional/military experience.Experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering in Cameo or similar tools Experience in supplier/subcontract managementExperience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of workExperience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionAbility to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewMust have an active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the companyAbility to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with network, commercial cloud, platform infrastructures and containerized software architectureFamiliarity with Digital Engineering processes and environmentsKnowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentationDemonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environmentExperience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representativesDemonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed mannerExperience in model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)Experience AND/OR Certification with cloud and container management & security technologies such as VMWare, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Redhat OpenShift, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Nomad.Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
