The Director will primarily conduct deal analyses while also supporting the broader finance team and label group. The candidate is analytical, proactive, intellectually curious, and comfortable analyzing new business models / communicating those results. The Director will report to the Sr. Director of Finance at Interscope Capitol and work closely with the Business & Legal Affairs department.How you’ll CREATE:Conduct custom financial modeling and strategic analysis of recorded music deals and unique projects by collaborating with other departments to assess investment returns, establish strategic rationale, and succinctly communicate findingsFunction as an unbiased partner to proactively aid negotiationsPerform post-mortem / current performance analyses for internal management and external stakeholdersManage approval process for select UMG executive approval-level dealsProvide financial guidance for other business units & departments ranging from merchandise & music pricing, cost analysis, impairment analysis, etc.Expected to enhance financial models and improve reporting efficiencyBring your VIBE:Bachelor’s degree ideally in Finance, Accounting, or EconomicsMusic industry experience preferredMinimum 7-10+ years of relevant work experience in finance, M&A, consulting/strategy, or similar field.
