PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE SUPERVISOR - CLINIC

Kenosha County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Nurse Supervisor - Clinic to help lead a compassionate, community-focused team. This role supports high-quality clinical services and strengthens the health of residents through trust, engagement, and equitable care.

2026 Hiring Range: $84,278 - $100,330 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, the Public Health Nurse Supervisor provides leadership to Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants and supports clinical operations including immunizations, reproductive health, STI services, MAT programming, and other preventive care. This working manager role blends administration with direct patient care and ensures consistent, ethical, and equitable services.

JOB DUTIES
Supervision & Leadership
* Model ethical practice and adherence to policy, grants, and curriculum
* Provide coaching, training, scheduling, morale-building, and performance management
* Conduct monthly supervision and annual evaluations
* Prepare required reports; collaborate on grant and contract proposals
* Monitor grant metrics, outcomes, and program budgets
* Develop policies that translate mission into practice
* Coordinate onboarding, staff development, and participation in agency-wide initiatives
* Collaborate with communications on marketing and web content
* Ensure HIPAA compliance

General Clinic Duties
* Provide family planning and reproductive health services (counseling, testing, STI screening, education)
* Conduct assessments, histories, and exams within scope
* Support contraceptive management including LARC where applicable
* Maintain Title X confidentiality and accurate documentation
* Administer vaccines per CDC/ACIP guidelines and maintain inventory and cold-chain compliance
* Educate patients on vaccines and respond to adverse reactions within protocol
* Deliver trauma-informed, culturally competent care
* Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety standards
* Collaborate with staff, community partners, and assist in emergency response

Other Responsibilities
* Support staff in assessing client needs and treatment approaches
* Lead team meetings on policy, procedures, and operational updates
* Coordinate community programs, events, and outreach
* Align team strategic plans with division priorities
* Participate in community health assessment and trend analysis
* Lead data and evaluation activities to guide decisions and improve outcomes
* Foster continuous quality improvement and equity-focused practice
* Ensure quality control of field and data activities
* Prepare and analyze data for reports and planning documents
* Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Education/Experience
* BSN
* 3-5 years nursing experience

Required Licenses/Certifications
* Active RN license
* BLS within 90 days of hire

Preferred
* MSN
* 1-2+ years public health nursing experience
* 1-3+ years supervisory experience
* Bilingual English/Spanish

Other Requirements
* Valid driver's license and vehicle access
* Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends and respond 24/7 during emergencies
