On-Call CustodianThe custodian position is an important role in the functioning of our school. The custodian will perform tasks in maintenance, cleaning, and care of our school while providing a safe and clean environment for our students and staff.Reports to: Custodian ManagerThis is a non-supervisory position.Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.This is an on-call, non-exempt, position. The hourly rate is $17.32 - $23.38 per hour depending on experience.Ensures all assigned tasks per daily schedule are completed with quality and in an efficient manner which may include the following activities:Washes walls.Vacuums carpets.Clean and polishes windows.Dusts surfaces as needed.Light painting and drywall fixes as needed.Light maintenance, including but not limited to, fixing furniture and unclogging toilets and sinks, as needed.Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors.Safely operates commercial custodial equipment and use cleaning and disinfecting chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable safety regulations.Cleans bathrooms and polishes all metal surfaces.Ensures all paper products dispensers are kept supplied.Reports any vandalism or broken items immediately to supervisor.Empties trash in all classroom and offices.Cleans human fluids as needed per established safety standards.Cleans showers, auditorium, and gymnasiums as assigned.Sets up and tears down equipment for events as directed.Assists with grounds keeping and or maintenance as assigned.Snow removal.Others duties as assigned.Be present and engage in Pinnacle functions and events to build strong relationships with students, families, peers, and the community.Maintain and deepen current professional learning on an ongoing basisRegular and timely attendancePerform other duties as assignedCustodial experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED preferredStrong knowledge of basic custodian functionsExcellent troubleshooting skillsAbility to collaborate and communicate while appreciating the diverse background of students, parents, peers, and the communityAbility to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administratorDemonstrated commitment to mission and vision of the schoolCreative and flexible in time of changeDemonstrated success as an innovator of creative solutions at workExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including restorative justice practicesGrowth-oriented approach; always looking for ways to improve professionallyProfessional appearance, attitude, and demeanorOutdoor and indoor school environment with moderate to high noise level and exposure to weather elementsAnalyze, collaborate, communicate, compare, compilation of data, compute, coordinate, copy, evaluate, interpersonal skills, present, report, synthesizeOutdoor and indoor environment including computer interface.
