Assembler Location: St. Louis, MO # Positions: 4 Category: Manufacturing At a Glance 4-day work week (Monday - Thursday) Climate Controlled Facility Training Provided Benefits effective 1st day of month following hire (medical, vision, dental) Paid time off Job Overview Work involves the assembly, test, and modification of electrical components using blueprints, schematics, written, and verbal instructions. An assembler will use various machines, adhesives, to completely assemble a light fixture. Main Job Duties Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings/renderings, and receives verbal instructions regarding work assignment. Aligns and assembles parts such as leads, coils, wires, tabs and terminals into housing. Routes and laces cables. Installs components and parts such as switches, coils, transformers, relays, transistors, ballasts, and semiconductor circuits on panels, and other units. Routes and attaches wires and connectors to form circuitry and connects assembly to power supply sources, switch panels, or junction boxes. Attaches hardware and seals assembly. Examines parts for defects: both visual (chips, scratches) and operational Tests unit to locate defects, measure performance, determine need for adjustment and verify specified operation. Replaces defective component and wiring. Assembles and calibrates fixture according to specifications. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED; trade school Experience: Six months of manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Good hand-eye coordination; excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small, detailed objects. Work independently with ability to prioritize and work under (sometimes tight) deadlines. Regular Attendance Ability to work cooperatively with others.
