Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy focused on areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to build cohesive treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Keep accurate and timely records that comply with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to lifelong learning by staying abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and collaborative efforts.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
