Job Summary The HR Generalist administers general HR duties, including onboarding, benefits, and employee relations, while providing support across HR functions through cross-training. This role manages employee relations cases, offers HR advisory services, facilitates orientations, and assists with system updates for operational efficiency. Additionally, the HR Generalist develops HR policies, ensures compliance with laws, maintains documentation, and conducts HR audits to identify areas of non-compliance. Role Description Administer general HR duties such as onboarding, benefits, career engagement, and employee relations. Cross-train and develop knowledge of all Human Resources functions to provide support across the HR department. Manage and coordinate ER case load. Handle and investigate complaints, grievances, and employee escalations. Provide expert guidance to management to resolve complex ER issues and ensure a fair and compliant resolution. Provide effective HR advisory service to senior leaders, managers, and employees covering various HR matters. Facilitate orientations and other presentations representing HR’s initiatives to new hires and existing employees. Assist with system updates and improvements for enhanced HR operations and efficiency. Develop and draft policies that relate to HR practices for improved employee experience and compliance. Lead on policy development and implementation, ensuring compliance with local laws, legislation, and best practices. Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as grievances received or investigation outcomes, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records. Conduct HR audits to identify areas of non-compliance, including periodic reviews of internal policies and procedures. Skill Level Requirements Efficient HR administration and people management skills. - Basic Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills. - Basic Strong computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office, and related HR software. - Basic Professional credibility and ability to deal assertively and confidentially at all levels. - Basic Meticulous attention to detail. - Basic Ability to be proactive: foreseeing problems and providing solutions. - Basic Ability to advise/coach both employees and managers. - Basic Excellent presentation skills with the ability to represent HR’s initiatives. - Basic Ability to understand all aspects of employment and human resources-related laws, regulations, policies, concepts, and practices. - Basic Ability to foster relationships with management and employees. - Basic Other Requirements Completed Bachelor's degree (Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology preferred) 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a HR Generalist role Employee Relations experience, including managing end-to-end complex cases with minimal supervision. Thorough understanding of employment law, regulations, and best practices. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $95,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary, are $65,000 - $95,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
