Position Overview

We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide first-line technical support in a dynamic operational environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and production technology issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to support end users in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve workstation, application, and network-related incidents.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems.
• Support user account administration and access-related requests.
• Diagnose and escalate complex technical issues as needed.
• Assist with technology deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Document support activities, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service while supporting production and business operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and minimal operational disruption.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing technical support in a desktop, help desk, or service desk environment.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, desktop hardware, and business productivity applications.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, name resolution, and network connectivity concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Industry-recognized IT certifications.
• Experience supporting Linux-based systems or embedded computing devices.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, or systems management tools.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or operational technology environments.

Work Environment

• Onsite position supporting operational and production users.
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong customer service and technical support skills.

Experience Level

Intermediate

This is a Permanent position based out of Montgomery, AL.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

401k and full benefits package. Plus an annual 5% performance bonus.

This is a Permanent position based out of Montgomery, AL.

This position is anticipated to close on Nov 6, 2026.

This is a fully onsite position in Montgomery,AL.
