Physical Therapist

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Provides professional physical therapy services to clients/patients of all ages and families whose needs are changing from basic to complex and are rapidly changing. Plans and implements age-appropriate specific treatment programs for individual clients/patients with a level of skill in accordance with accepted principles and practice.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates patient's strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, and ability to perform functional mobility such as getting into and out of bed, transferring, walking, and stair climbing, also wheelchair skills if appropriate.
• Plans, develops, and implements physical therapy care plan appropriately.
• Regularly re-evaluates and updates the appropriateness of care plan and physicians' orders.
• Communicates appropriate information to patients, physicians and other clinicians involved in the plan of care.

Qualifications:

Education: Degree from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited program required.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in health care setting performing similar work activities preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the state of Florida Allied Health Professionals required. BLS, CPR required.
