About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ASLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have 2 years of experience and 1 travel assignment. Description: Candidates will do an interview with the staffing office. The notes and profiles will be sent to the relevant party and confirmed within 20 minutes. There is not a second interview. Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:6. Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1:8 generally, going up to 1:10 in some instances. Individuals may also experience 1:1 assignments and sitters. Floating may occur to various departments, and flexibility with changing assignments during shifts is required. Common diagnoses and types of patients will vary across different areas. Required experience includes C-section procedures. The charting system utilized is MEDITECH. Weekend and holiday requirements rotate with permanent staff. On-call responsibilities are low due to census. The environment is acute care. Additional support services like pharmacy and intensivist teams are available 24/7. Technical support will include monitored telemetry in various units and ventilator support. General skills in IV administration are expected. Candidates should be adaptable to different patient populations throughout the facility. Overall, the role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
