Adjunct for Speech-Language Pathology

The Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Department at Rockhurst University is expanding the Master of Science in SLP program. We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach both didactic and clinical courses as needed. The adjunct faculty work collaboratively to plan and implement a high-quality program that meets or exceeds professional accreditation and certification requirements. This position requires engagement with clinical sites, clinical educators, students, interprofessional groups, professional organizations, university administrators, and faculty.Accountabilities include but are not limited to:Assess clinical skill development of student clinicians and provide support when neededInstruct courses/labs as needed each semesterSupervise clinical practicum in community placements, if neededCollaborate with faculty and department leadership to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the programOther duties as assigned to support program operations and student successFlexibility to teach diverse course contentPosition Requirements:EdD or PhDMinimum of 8 years of clinical experience in Speech-Language PathologyASHA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a university settingAlignment with the mission of Jesuit educationPrevious teaching experience (Preferred)Applicants should submit a cover letter with three work/professional references.
