Occupational Therapist

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, your days will include:

• Evaluate students' occupational therapy needs and participation in school activities.
• Provide individualized occupational therapy services to support student access and independence.
• Support fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, and functional skills relevant to the school setting.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to support student goals.
• Contribute to IEP development and implementation as appropriate to the role.
• Recommend strategies and adaptations to support participation in classroom routines.
• Monitor progress and maintain documentation of evaluations and services.

Job Details

• Position: Full-time, onsite contract assignment; one opening, with a possible second opening pending confirmation.
• Hours: 35 hours per week; ASAP through the end of the school year.
• Classroom setting, grade levels, and caseload: Pending confirmation.
• Work setting: Fully onsite; virtual and hybrid assignments are not available.

Successful Candidates Possess

• An active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (required)
• A Professional Educator License (PEL) is not required for this assignment
• Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
• The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
• New graduates may be considered; acceptance is pending confirmation
