Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services such as full truckload (FTL), less‑than‑truckload (LTL), brokerage, cross‑border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or customer warehouses, depots, cross‑dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best‑in‑class operations and technology. Shift – Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sat (Sun & Wed off) 10:30 am‑7:30 pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and closely monitor over 10 to 20 owner operators in a fast‑paced LTL environment. Be familiar with all California DOT transportation regulations. Have knowledge of all national and state DOT laws and regulations. Maintain on‑time performance at 99.5% or higher. Ensure that work is distributed equally among all drivers. Understand all customer pick‑up and delivery procedures. Remind drivers daily to drive safely and be aware of their surroundings. Remind drivers periodically of pick‑up and delivery procedures. React to emergencies or urgent situations as they occur and follow emergency or accident company protocol. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma with at least two years industry experience or four years of relevant customer service or operations experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Pay Range $20.00 – $23.50 per hour.
