Requirements CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Emergency Center – Marshall, TX (EM) Board Requirements Accepts ABEM, AOBEM, and ABFM **Accepts Board EligibleABFM physicians must have at least 2 years of ED experience at facilities with annual volumes of 10,000+Alternative boards not acceptedEM or FM residency trained required Certifications ATLS and ACLS required for non-boarded EM and FM physiciansEM boarded physicians do not need to maintain ATLS once boardedInitial ATLS required for EM boarded physicians but does not need to be current Coverage Model Physician Coverage: Average 25 MD hours/dayAPP Coverage: Average 11.43 NPPA hours/day Physician Shifts Monday: 7a–3p, 2p–10p, 9p–7aTuesday–Friday & Sunday: 7a–2:30p, 2p–9:30p, 9p–7aSaturday: 7a–2p, 2p–9p, 9p–7aLocums may work 12-hour shifts when operationally needed.
