Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced emergency medicine physician for ongoing locum tenens coverage. The role involves providing ED coverage at both Marshall and Kilgore locations within a hospital system, supporting a high-volume emergency department with a wide range of clinical cases and procedural duties.

• Schedule:
  • Physician shifts: Monday 7a–3p, 2p–10p, 9p–7a; Tuesday, Friday, Sunday 7a–2:30p, 2p–9:30p, 9p–7a; Saturday 7a–2p, 2p–9p, 9p–7a
  • APP shifts: Sunday, Wednesday 10a–10p; Thursday, Friday 10a–9p; Saturday 11a–9p
  • Shifts may extend to 12 hours as needed
• Practice Environment: Operating at two hospital sites within the same health system, requiring flexibility and willingness to work at both locations
• Onboarding: Includes hospital orientation, Epic testing (if applicable), Epic training, Genesis module completion, fit testing, and OB-specific training

Clinical Scope

• Emergency Department coverage including trauma and critical care duties
• Management of a broad spectrum of ED presentations with standard procedures
• Experience with high patient volumes and fast-paced workflows
• Collaboration with consulting specialists and inpatient teams
• Documentation and order entry within Epic EMR

Candidate Requirements

• Active Texas medical license
• MD degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Minimum 2 years ED experience at facilities with annual volumes of 10,000+ (applicable for ABFM physicians)
• Certifications: ATLS and ACLS required for non-boarded EM and FM physicians; EM boarded physicians do not need to maintain ATLS once boarded
• Clinical experience with ED procedures and management of diverse patient populations
