EHR Business Analyst / Application Support Analyst

We are seeking an experienced EHR Business Analyst / Application Support Analyst to support the successful deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of an enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

The ideal candidate will provide application support to end users, analyze workflow requirements, troubleshoot system issues, document enhancement opportunities, and collaborate with technical, clinical, business, and vendor teams.

This role combines EHR application support, business analysis, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, testing, and user documentation .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide responsive application support to EHR end users.

• Triage, troubleshoot, document, and appropriately escalate application issues.

• Monitor and support key EHR workflows, processes, and procedures.

• Engage with business and clinical stakeholders to understand operational needs.

• Evaluate existing EHR capabilities and identify workflow or functionality gaps.

• Recommend alternative solutions and interim approaches when appropriate.

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.

• Analyze enhancement requests and translate business needs into actionable requirements.

• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other Agile artifacts.

• Support functional, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Collaborate with technical, clinical, business, and vendor teams throughout the application lifecycle.

• Develop user documentation, job aids, training materials, and process guides.

• Support continuous improvement of EHR workflows and application functionality.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing application support in an enterprise environment.

• Experience with business analysis, requirements documentation, and enhancement analysis .

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Understanding of clinical, pharmaceutical, and patient billing workflows .

• Experience participating in structured software testing cycles.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Visio .

• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or implementing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

• Experience with Oracle Health / Cerner platforms.

• Knowledge of healthcare or public health workflows.

• Experience with SQL and Oracle databases .

• Experience supporting web-based applications.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Agile documentation.

• Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and process documentation.
