Preconstruction Engineer

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for supporting project teams and leadership through providing actionable insights and analysis of project health. Provides solutions to process analysis, risk management, and strategy using existing tools as well as building custom solutions with scalability and impact across the enterprise. Responsible for designing and implementing the process needed to achieve the desired outcome.RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor construction KPIs and identify risks and opportunities in assigned scopes and projects.Coordinate with department leaders to align on improvements and business objectives.Develop standardized tools, procedures, and performance metrics to support continuous improvement.Evaluate technology and automation opportunities to streamline repetitive tasksDesign and implement process improvements that reduce costs, delays, and operational risks.Identify productivity risk factors within construction processes and support the correction planning.Evaluate root causes of varying productivity metricsCorrelate KPIs from various disciplinesSupport change management of new processes, technologies, and tools used across project teamsCollaborate directly with project teams to set goals, solve problems, and confirm resultsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related fieldInternship in data science, analytics, or construction preferred but not requiredGeneral knowledge of construction operationsExperience holding meetings and public speaking preferredStrong work ethic and desire to work in a team environmentMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
