Building Services Technician

Summary To complete cleaning and event assignments daily, including event set up and break down. This position is designed to help maintain the daily operation of the museum, including after hour events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean all areas of the Museum campus daily (restrooms, office spaces, break room, galleries) on a regular schedule and respond to emergency cleaning requests such as spills. This includes mopping, vacuuming, cleaning sinks, toilets, and mirrors, and restocking restroom supplies. Operate heavy cleaning equipment on a rotating schedule, such as floor scrubbers. Perform meeting and event setups/breakdowns daily as assigned, including setting up tables and chairs, ensuring trash receptacles are placed and emptied as needed. Collect all outside building trash and recycling daily and take to outside receptacles. Deliver all incoming mail and packages to all personnel inside the museum. Strip/wax floors and clean carpet as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to properly use a variety of cleaning implements such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and mops. Must be able to use larger equipment such as pallet jacks. Must be able to work nights and weekends with mandatory overtime if needed. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, walk and climb steps/ladders. Pay Range $18.50 - $22.35, commensurate with experience Status Regular full-time (40 hours/week) Schedule (Regular) Monday - Thursday: 11 AM to 7:30 PM Fridays: 1 PM to 9:30 PM Weekend Rotation Schedule (Every 4 Weeks) Saturday - Sunday: 8 AM - 5 PM On the weekend rotation schedule, days off will be on Thursday and Monday.
