Price Chopper Assistant Grocery Manager

Summary Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for assisting with the operation of the Grocery and General Merchandise department. Assists the Center Store Team Lead with budgeted and achievement of financial aspects of the department. Oversees clerks within department and monitors for proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels of grocery product to promote an optimal opportunity for sales. Pay Range $18.00- $27.00 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times. Smile, make eye contact and thank customers upon fulfilling their request. Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards. Assist the Center Store Team Lead with day‑to‑day operation of the department including product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, planograms, displays, rotation and inventory levels. Assist with ordering all merchandise and supplies for the Grocery / GM department and meeting transmission times. Store excess product in back room or designated area. Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service within the total store. Perform front‑end services as required by business needs. Adhere to all company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations within Grocery / GM operations. Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks. Assist with training and development of new associates in grocery operations. Manage the store at the discretion of the store manager. Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned by management & adhere to all company policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results and objectives. Education and Experience NA Physical Requirements Exposure to cold environment – occasional 1‑3 hours. Standing – constant 5‑8 hours. Walking – constant 5‑8 hours. Grasping/Finger movement & dexterity – left/right hands constant 5‑8 hours. Bending – constant 5‑8 hours. Twisting – constant 5‑8 hours. Pivoting – constant 5‑8 hours. Squatting/Kneeling – constant 5‑8 hours. Pushing/Pulling – occasional 1‑3 hours up to 2400 lbs. Lifting – frequent 3‑5 hours up to 50 lbs; occasional 1‑3 hours up to 75 lbs.
