We seek Senior Health Physicist II candidates with relevant Nuclear And Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Nuclear And Environmental Management Sector Clients such as SRMC. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Health Physics (HP) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional - ProSidian Strategic Resourcing and Professional Staff Augmentation for Health Physics (HP) Solutions and Services Position; however ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Senior Health Physicist II ProSidian Strategic Resourcing and Professional Staff Augmentation for Health Physics (HP) Solutions and Services aligned with the Health Physics (HP) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline in the Nuclear And Environmental Management Industry Sector. 

This role focusses on Human Capital Project Management Engineering Environmental Compliance Risk Management IT Effectiveness Business Process Training Knowledge Management Solutions for clients such as Savannah River Mission Completion LLC (SRMC) SRMC Supply Chain / Procurement supporting the Liquid Waste Program under DOE prime contractDEM000068 Generally Located In Aiken South Carolina and across the Southeast South Atlantic CONUS Region (Of Country/World) Working On-Site (Client Site).

Provide Health Physics (HP) Services and Solutions as a ProSidian Engagement Team Member working in a capacity that Supports health physics activities through planning analysis coordination documentation compliance quality assurance and stakeholder support.. Lead radiological design and control decisions that minimize exposure and protect workers communities and the environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Senior Health Physicist II Health Physics (HP) L00400

•  Applies advanced radiological Engineering and health physics principles learned through formal education and significant work experience for multiple large facilities/projects.
•  Provides advanced technical operational and regulatory guidance on the companys Radiological Protection issues.
•  Performs complex assessments calculations and/or monitoring to determine the proper radiological controls and shielding required to meet or exceed company/regulatory standards while considering the economic impacts.
•  Prepares technical documentation and models to support calculations.
•  Stays current on facilities Project s processes and regulatory procedures.
•  Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for radiation protection procedures that perform complex radiological calculations calibrations data reviews regulatory reviews and assessments.
•  Performs research and analyzes new equipment to developed cost-effective solutions and improvements.
•  Manages (tracking estimating etc.) and communicates changes to assigned schedule.
•  Conducts peer review of complex tests and calculations for validity.
•  Provides briefings presentations technical papers reports and lectures to companys internal stakeholders.
•  Represents the group in meetings based on familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations DOE Orders 5Q RadCon Manual and Site Engineering Standards.
•  Reviews and approves design drawings to ensure verified calculations have been included.
•  Performs field walk downs as deemed necessary to ensure implementations are performed to calculated design.
•  Functions as Radiological Engineer/Health Physicist lead or (SME) within company.
•  Performs hazard assessments by conducting Engineering evaluations for Project s deemed to have detrimental effects to the company if proper radiological controls are not implemented.
•  May guide less experienced professionals.

Qualifications :

•  Masters degree in nuclear Engineering health physics or applicable science or Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and 3 years relevant professional experience OR;
• Bachelors degree in nuclear Engineering health physic

• Masters degree in nuclear Engineering health physics or applicable science or Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and 3 years relevant professional experience OR;
•  Bachelors degree in nuclear Engineering health physics or applicable science or Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and 5 years relevant professional experience
•  US Citizen
• Masters degree in nuclear Engineering health physics or applicable science or Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and 3 years relevant professional experience OR;
•  Bachelors degree in nuclear Engineering health physic

• Client preferred qualifications:
•  - Masters of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering Health Physics or related Engineering or scientific discipline
•  Thorough knowledge of health physics concepts principles and techniques; general knowledge of related disciplines.
• Working knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations DOE Orders and ANSI standards that provide guidance and requirements for radiation protection programs.
• Familiarity with MCNP SCALE Origen ARP MicroShield and HOTSPOT codes.

Other Details

Provides technical guidance in support of company radiological designs and modifications. Calculates analyzes establishes and incorporates proper radiological protection controls to prevent or minimize adverse effects to onsite personnel the surrounding public and the environment.
