VP Strategic Finance & Corporate Development

Marwood Group is a healthcare-focused advisory and research firm headquartered in New York City, with additional offices in Washington, DC, and London. Our Advisory business supports healthcare investors and corporate clients with strategic insights, performance improvement, strategy, and diligence engagements.

Marwood is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Finance & Corporate Development to help translate financial and operating information into actionable business decisions while supporting the firm’s acquisition strategy. Reporting directly to the CFO and CDO, this is hands-on, high-visibility role will partner with senior leadership across the organization and have direct exposure to the Board of Directors and Marwood’s financial sponsor, Lee Equity Partners. The role will focus on financial planning, performance analytics, strategic initiatives, and corporate development. Responsibilities will vary based on seasonality (i.e., board meetings, budget), the transaction pipeline, and business priorities.

What You Will Do

• Own and improve management reporting, financial analyses and presentations for executive leadership, the Board of Directors and Marwood’s private equity sponsor, Lee Equity Partners.
• Partner with CFO to drive the annual budget, periodic forecasts and long-range planning through integrated financial models, scenario analyses, and clear articulation of business drivers.
• Develop and maintain meaningful performance dashboards and KPIs across Marwood’s advisory and research businesses, including revenue, pipeline, project economics, utilization, staffing capacity, and operating expenses, as applicable.
• Partner with business leaders to assess profitability, revenue trends, cash flow, and investment opportunities; turn findings into practical recommendations.
• Build repeatable reporting processes and trackers to measure the impact of growth initiatives, operational improvements, and other strategic priorities.
• Partner with CDO to support acquisition evaluation, including financial analysis and modeling, business case development, and preparation and presentation of investment materials.
• Coordinate acquisition diligence across internal stakeholders and external advisors, synthesizing findings to inform investment decisions and support transaction execution.
• Support post-close integration planning, including tracking key milestones, financial performance, and anticipated synergies.
• Prepare timely ad hoc analyses to support decisions by the CFO, CDO, senior management and Lee Equity Partners, the Company’s financial sponsor

What You Bring

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, transaction advisory, investment banking, or private equity.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
• Strong financial modeling capabilities and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to communicate findings in polished PowerPoint presentations.
• Experience building forecasts, analyzing business performance, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders; exposure to M&A diligence or transactions is preferred.
• Excellent quantitative judgment, attention to detail and ownership of deliverables, paired with an ability to prioritize what matters to the business.
• A collaborative, proactive working style, and willingness to move between strategic questions and detailed execution.
• Comfort operating in a growing, fast-moving professional services environment; experience with consulting, healthcare services or other project-based businesses is helpful.
• Strong data fluency and practical experience using AI tools to improve analysis, reporting, and workflows, with sound judgment in validating outputs and handling confidential information.
