This role offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing you to deliver therapy from the comfort of your home while remaining connected with a collaborative team of mental health professionals. The hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on the needs of clients. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate clients' trauma histories and current mental health conditions, using tools that are congruent with evidence-based practices.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building strategies tailored to each client's needs.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions utilizing established methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that all therapeutic approaches are client-centered.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping mechanisms, and promoting emotional healing.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support.

  • Respond to crises by delivering immediate intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping clients navigate acute distress.

  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, appropriate coping skills, and available resources within the community.

  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of therapy sessions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.

  • Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and sharing knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.

  • Stay current with ongoing research and best practices in trauma therapy, enhancing your professional skill set.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clients you will serve include individuals dealing with trauma-related disorders, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your work will focus on fostering healing in those who have experienced significant psychological distress due to trauma. Understanding the unique needs and backgrounds of your clients is essential, as you will tailor your therapeutic approach to suit each individual’s recovery path, ensuring respectful and responsive care.

Qualifications\n

  • Possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or PsyD in the state of Maryland.
  • \n
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on trauma-informed practices preferred.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and applicable treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • Experience providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions that foster client open communication and trust.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to therapy.

  • Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to ensure client confidentiality and treatment accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
