Specialty Sales Development Executive - Invitae, Rare Disease

Labcorp seeks a Specialty Sales Development Executive to sell rare disease genetic testing services across central and west Texas. The role involves building relationships with genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, and regional medical facilities while meeting quarterly sales targets and managing a territory from Waco to El Paso.

Responsibilities

• Sell laboratory testing services to genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, and pediatric specialists in rare disease space
• Prospect, develop, and close sales opportunities to meet assigned quarterly quotas and annual business plans
• Build and maintain sales pipeline through cold calling and relationship development with regional medical groups and hospitals
• Conduct in-services, training, and implementation support for physician staff and clinical personnel
• Maintain customer account data in Salesforce and provide ongoing education and support to current customer base

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum; bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred
• 5+ years medical outside sales experience
• 3+ years selling laboratory, diagnostics, or medical device solutions preferred
• 3+ years supporting rare disease, genetics, cardiology, neurology, or pediatric markets preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and clinical data
• Proven success managing a book of business and closing sales
