Austin. Long term contract 100% onsite Required Experience 4 to 7 years of Help Desk or Service Desk experience. Proven experience providing help desk support. Basic understanding of ITSM (IT Service Management) practices. Working knowledge of help desk software, databases, and remote-control tools. Ability to receive calls and inquiries, provide support according to established processes, and document incidents and resolutions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of network, desktop, and server support concepts. Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and basic electronics. Ability to read and comprehend technical service manuals and publications. Knowledge of basic mathematics to read and understand gauges, meters, and measurement devices. Ability to diagnose and repair equipment by replacing parts and making technical adjustments. Ability to use reference materials and diagnostic tools to resolve technical issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate technical information into understandable user instructions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic understanding of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies for individuals with disabilities. Understanding of protocols for assisting customers who require special accommodations. Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 support for service requests escalated from lower support tiers. Provide onsite, remote, phone, and email support to end users. Develop solutions for network, desktop, and server-related issues. Provide technical assistance to users experiencing computer system issues. Identify, research, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems. Document, track, and monitor incidents to ensure timely resolution. Answer user questions and resolve computer-related issues in person, by phone, or remotely. Assist users with hardware, software, printing, installations, operating systems, email, and productivity applications. Perform service and preventive maintenance on computers, printers, terminals, and related equipment. Coordinate system changes, upgrades, and implementation of new products. Ensure systems operate correctly in current and future environments. Provide accurate and timely responses to user and administrative questions. Implement and support shared software tools, including operating systems, configuration management tools, development tools, testing tools, compilers, and code editors. Communicate accurate and useful status updates to stakeholders. Manage and report time spent on assigned work activities.
