Factory Commissioning Test Operator (2ND shift)

Position Overview Entry‑level Factory Commissioning Test Technician at Siemens Mobility, located in Lexington, NC. 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00pm – 2:30am. Daily Responsibilities Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars. Troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical failures. Operate state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic test equipment. Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards. Communicate technical information verbally and in writing. Work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Read, interpret, and understand printed or electronic schematics. Use PTUs to troubleshoot onboard systems on light rail, locomotives, and coaches. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical testing. Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting. Associate’s degree in engineering, mechatronics, or related field preferred. Physical Demands Comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled environment; frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or moving items up to 40 pounds. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus required. Salary and Compensation Base salary range: $46,002 – $53,958 annually, plus a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift. Actual wage may vary by budget and candidate qualifications.
