Job Title

Travel RN – PCU / Cardiac Stepdown (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a cardiac, trauma, and stepdown-level population on a 36-bed Cardiac IMCU unit
• Perform telemetry monitoring and manage cardiac drips and chest tubes
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 for cardiac patients and 1:3–4 for PCU/stepdown patients
• Document and manage patient records using Cerner EHR
• Float to other units as required based on census and staffing needs
• Participate in on-call rotation if census is low

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience
• Experience with cardiac patient populations, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and chest tubes
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU and stepdown patient population experience
• Low-level ICU skills
• Familiarity with common diagnoses such as chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular conditions, and CHF
