With over $2.8 billion in annual sales and a commitment to its workforce, Kokosing is the winning team.Job Description:Job Description:Heavy Equipment Field TechnicianResponsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment.*Start and end time may vary depending on the workload and job needs. ****Home base for this opportunity will be in the Shippingport, PA area. However, there will be extensive travel involved for this position and this individual will spend much of their time traveling to complete repairs on multiple jobsites. *Duties and Responsibilities:Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment.Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.Write and complete service reports.Participate in company training programs.Perform other duties as assigned.This position is focusing on Heavy equipment, this will also include trucks, trailers and small construction equipment as needed.Education and Experience:Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred.5+ years’ experience preferredSkills and Abilities:Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane.Operation of a variety of types of equipmentDiagnosis and repair of diesel enginesMaintenance, diagnosis, and repair of equipment electrical systemsDiagnose and repair aftertreatment systemsHydraulic troubleshootingUse of hydraulic and electrical schematicsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.Crane knowledge a plusAbility to properly document work completedDesire to take on new challengesWillingness to work on a variety of equipment in both the shop and field environmentKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action federal and state contractor.
