Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Variety in critical care experience preferred: med/surg, cardiac, neuro. Recent Float Pool, PACU, or Emergency Room experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: All RTO must be submitted at time of offer; RTO sent after the contract is signed will not be considered. RTO must be added to the end of the contract.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population.

Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotating shifts: 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30. One 4-week schedule cycle will be either shift, but may switch to the opposite shift in another schedule cycle depending on need.

Floating Requirements: This is a float pool position, not unit based. Must float to other UCSF facilities and departments across UCSF campuses, including Parnassus, Mission Bay, and Mount Zion. ICU RNs float to all TCUs and ICUs, ED, and PACU. May float to Acute Care/Tele/TCU units with up to 3:1 assignments. May be assigned to ED for boarded patients or assist with tasks in PACU for boarded patients.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
