Service Desk Analyst

Help people get back to work - and build your IT support skills with every issue you resolve. As an entry-level Service Desk Analyst with Vanguard Management Solutions, you'll support a client in Herndon, Virginia, combining hands-on troubleshooting with clear, patient customer service.

You'll help install hardware and approved software, guide users through technical issues, and coordinate with support teams to get problems resolved. This full‑time hybrid role requires at least three days on site each week and is suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, staying organized, and following through for the people they support.

Responsibilities

• Install or assist with installation of hardware and peripheral components.
• Load and verify approved operating‑system and productivity software packages.
• Instruct users on equipment, software, and support documentation.
• Diagnose user hardware, software, and operator issues and coordinate resolution.
• Escalate major hardware problems to the appropriate service personnel.

Qualifications

Required

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to manage priorities, multiple assignments, and deadlines.

Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.

Zero to two years of related experience.
