Bring your skills and passion for supporting students’ well-being as a dedicated school social worker working with elementary-aged children. A full-time contract position is available for a licensed professional ready to make a difference, starting as soon as possible and continuing through October 2, 2026. Contribute to a positive school environment by delivering vital social-emotional support, primarily serving a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students, while also collaborating with special education classrooms for push-in services.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Social Work (SSW) license.
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required.
• Demonstrated prior experience in a school setting.
• Commitment to onsite, in-person services (remote/virtual options are not available).
• Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to provide documentation such as resume and licenses for credentialing purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and support to elementary students, individually and in small groups.
• Develop and implement interventions that support social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students’ needs are met.
• Offer push-in classroom services, particularly in special education settings.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
• Engage in proactive outreach to enhance the well-being of all students on your caseload.
