Work Environment

You will join our vibrant, multidisciplinary team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Jacksonville, Florida. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a work-life balance while serving our diverse patient base.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the physical therapy treatment plan focused on preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function in alignment with patients' individual care plans.
• Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities by applying diagnostic tests that measure muscle, nerve, joint health, and overall mobility.
• Administer targeted therapeutic exercises and motivate clients to engage in non-manual and functional activities to improve their physical capabilities.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and apply physical agents such as traction and massage to facilitate patient recovery.
• Conduct assessments for, and guide the fitting of, prosthetic and orthotic devices, communicating recommendations for modifications to the referring physician.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In the role of Physical Therapist, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. Our clientele ranges from post-operative rehabilitation patients to those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions, varying in age from young athletes to older adults requiring assistance in regaining mobility. Through tailored therapy interventions, you will make significant contributions to improving these patients' quality of life and functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy practice, ideally in orthopedic, geriatric, acute care, or outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment, therapeutic techniques, and effective patient care planning.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills that foster collaborative patient care.
