Trailer Mechanic

Job Overview Full‑Time , Monday – Friday, various shifts. Earn up to $38.85 per hour and receive 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment. An excellent benefits package is also available, including access to our employee resorts. R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Marietta, GA Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers. Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair trailers. • Perform preventive maintenance. • Ensure all work meets manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements. Requirements Experience performing safety inspections and preparing safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and other regulations. Ability to interpret technical manuals. Experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems. Experience testing equipment for proper performance. Experience with trailer PMs and repairs. Ability to lift 50lbs. Must own your own tools. Dependable and prepared to work in various climate situations. Preferred Experience using the Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System. Welding skills. Experience driving yard tractors/trailers. Previous experience with Class 8 commercial vehicles. Sheet metal and composite panel repair.
