CNC Lathe Machinist

This role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-axis CNC lathe machines in a precision manufacturing environment. You will run complex production jobs on a day shift, perform tool changes and offsets, edit CNC programs using G and M codes, and inspect your own work using a variety of precision measuring instruments while working with tight tolerances and multiple materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC lathe machines for production runs.
• Perform tool changes and adjust offsets as needed to maintain part quality and machine performance.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs using G and M codes to ensure efficient and accurate machining.
• Work with a variety of materials, including steels, aluminum, and plastics, to produce precision components.
• Inspect and verify parts using microscopes, micrometers, comparators, gauge pins, thread gauges, and calipers.
• Maintain tight tolerances on parts, including tolerances as tight as +/- 0.0001 inches.
• Monitor machine performance and part quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bloomington, MN.
